Who we are

What we collect

When you leave comments, we collect the data shown in the form, plus your IP address and browser user-agent to help detect spam.

If you use Gravatar, a hashed version of your email may be sent to that service to check for an associated profile image. After approval, your avatar may appear with your comment. See Gravatar’s privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/

Media

Please avoid uploading images that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download images and extract location details.

Cookies

If you comment, you may opt to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last up to one year.

On the login page, we set a temporary cookie to test whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is removed when you close your browser.

When you log in, we set cookies to store your login status and display preferences. Login cookies last two days; screen-option cookies last one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. Logging out clears login cookies.

When you edit or publish an article, your browser may store an additional cookie with the post ID you edited. It expires in one day.

Embedded content from other sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you visited the other site. Those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in there.

Payments

Deposits and withdrawals may be processed by third-party payment partners (e.g., local wallets or crypto processors). We receive only the information needed to verify and complete your transaction, such as transaction IDs and status. We do not store full payment details on our servers.

Logs and analytics

Comments: We keep comments and their metadata indefinitely to recognize and auto-approve follow-ups.

Accounts: We store the personal information users provide in their profiles. Users can view, edit, or delete their personal data at any time (username cannot be changed). Site administrators can also view and edit that information.

Deletion of your personal data. This excludes data we must retain for legal, administrative, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed to children below the legally permitted age. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent changes. Your continued use of the site after updates means you accept the revised policy.
